Trap Flow Body Love Challenge

Laced with trap rap music, a beat-based genre of hip hop originating from the south, Trap Flow is an all-levels, non-performative yoga practice created by the founder of iya, Abiola Akanni. It combines asana with cardio dance and bodyweight exercises, including shadow boxing and high-intensity interval training.

Trap Flow utilizes the power of yoga and the storytelling power of hip hop to empower yogis and non-yogis alike to rewrite the narratives they’ve been told about their bodies.

Sixteen signature Trap Flow practices and four restorative yoga classes make up this soul-caffeinating challenge offering on-the-mat self-love rituals.

5 Reviews for Trap Flow Body Love Challenge

“This series was just what I was looking for - the variety of classes is great and I really connected with the theme for each week. I'm really looking forward to repeating these classes over and over. I'm feeling more grounded and powerful!”

— Brandi B.

“This has been a phenomenal experience. I haven't been consistent with my yoga or fitness practice, however, Trap Flow Body Love Challenge has allowed me to show every weekday, combine my favorite workouts, and feel sexy and strong in mind, body and spirit. As an aspiring yoga instructor, it's cool to see a non-performative and extremely creative practice in this challenge. Thank you for curating Abiola!”

— Veronica J.

“This challenge has been very motivating for me! I love that I can navigate the challenge according to my schedule. The flexibility of having it available when I need it is great! It's nice having a yoga class in my own home! I LOVE that I am watching an instructor that looks like me! So inspiring! Abiola Akanni's communication with students is divine. Thanks for this platform!”

— Jamila N.

“Abiola has quickly become my favorite yoga teacher. With my history of trauma and eating disorders, I love how she creates a safe container to express ourselves openly and with self-acceptance.”

— Jessie H.

“Loving this challenge! I have been so inactive for so long that I was intimidated to start this, but Abiola's energy and approach are so great and really inclusive. Even little language things about pose adaptations make it feel like I'm not lesser than for not reaching the advanced pose, and that keeps me coming back. Nice variation in pace, different length videos for variety, and good coverage of different body regions. Thank you!!!!”

— Talia A.
