Trap Flow Body Love Challenge
Laced with trap rap music, a beat-based genre of hip hop originating from the south, Trap Flow is an all-levels, non-performative yoga practice created by the founder of iya, Abiola Akanni. It combines asana with cardio dance and bodyweight exercises, including shadow boxing and high-intensity interval training.
Trap Flow utilizes the power of yoga and the storytelling power of hip hop to empower yogis and non-yogis alike to rewrite the narratives they’ve been told about their bodies.
Sixteen signature Trap Flow practices and four restorative yoga classes make up this soul-caffeinating challenge offering on-the-mat self-love rituals.
Week 1 - Body Liberation
The theme for week 1 of this challenge is body liberation! Liberty begins as soon as we embrace the areas of our body we hide most, so use your practice to acknowledge and embrace your shadow, it's part of you.
Trap Flow Intro
Monday | FOUNDATIONS This is the 1st of the 4 foundational practices in this challenge. It leverages flowing asana, cardio dance, and shadow boxing to increase our body awareness and heart-rate.
Trap Flow Sculpt
Tuesday | STRENGTH This modern yoga practice features light weights to strengthen the smaller, more intrinsic muscles throughout the body. Get ready to sweat!
Trap Flow Intro to Hip Opening
Wednesday | HIPS Liberate the hips with this upbeat practice designed to stretch the hamstrings and connective tissue in the inner and outer hips.
TF Intro 30
Thursday | LIVESTREAM This is the 30-minute version of our foundational practice known as Trap Flow Intro for days you're short on time. This will be a Livestream Yoga Practice premiering Wednesday, 1/19 at 6pm PST. The recording will be available the next day. All challenge members will be given lifetime access to the livestream recording.
Yin Yoga for Mental Clarity
Friday | RESTORATIVE In this Yin Yoga practice we'll target the connective tissues, including the ligaments, joints and fascial networks in the hips, hamstrings and low back. The long, deep holds draw us inward to uncover what's behind the sensation.
Week 2 - Sensuality
The theme for week 2 of this challenge is sensuality! Sensuality explores being in the present moment through our senses. It's here that we begin to take ownership of the experiences happening within our body.
Trap Flow Core
Monday | FOUNDATIONS This is the 2nd of the 4 foundational practices in this challenge. Access the heat of the belly located in the 3rd chakra through dynamic breathwork, body weight exercises, yoga and dance in our foundational Core flow.
Trap Flow Strong Back
Tuesday | STRENGTH Expect to strengthen the lats and trap muscles along your upper back in this energizing practice. Towards the end we'll explore deep stretches to release tension in the mid and low back.
Trap Flow Booty
Wednesday | HIPS This booty-focused flow is all about exploring body positivity while strengthening and stretching the glutes.
TF Core 30
Thursday | LIVESTREAM This is the 30-minute version of our foundational practice known as Trap Flow Core for days you're short on time. Quiet Time Breath Meditation
Friday | RESTORATIVE Surrendering to our emotions isn't always easy, especially when we've been taught to avoid them. In this breath meditation we'll begin to unlearn those teachings, and explore our emotional body beyond attachment.
Week 3 - Alchemy
The theme for week 3 of this challenge is alchemy. Alchemy means to transmute or transform. We have the power to do this with the narratives we've been told about our bodies. This week, begin to write the narrative you want your body to tell!
Trap Flow HIIT
Monday | FOUNDATIONS Trap Flow HIIT is the 3rd of the 4 foundational practices in this challenge. Featuring HIIT or high intensity interval training, this yoga class heats up the body for optimal fluidity. Here you'll use your internal fire to discharge what no longer serves you.
Trap Flow Heart Opening
Tuesday | STRENGTH Help hunched shoulders and a tight chest with this heart opening flow designed to lengthen the pectoral muscles and help us be more open to receive.
Trap Flow Shakti Power
Wednesday | HIPS Shakti is also translated as the divine feminine and this hip-focused flow is all about embodying that power boldly and unapologetically!

Thursday | LIVESTREAM This is the 30-minute version of our foundational practice known as Trap Flow HIIT for days you're short on time. Restorative Yoga for Everyday Recovery
Friday | RESTORATIVE Start or end your day with this easeful recovery featuring restorative hip openers, gentle twists and hamstring stretches practiced on your back. It'll be chill vibes all around.
Week 4 - Acceptance
The theme for week 4 of this challenge is acceptance. Self acceptance holds space for us to learn how to be ok with who we are right now. Although flawed, we are not broken. Begin to define what self acceptance looks like for you so you can embody the definition that aligns for you!
Trap Flow Kickboxing
Monday | FOUNDATIONS Trap Flow Kickboxing is the 4th of the 4 foundational practices in this challenge. Kickboxing blends martial arts with boxing to create a spirited cardiovascular class. TF Kickboxing utilizes boxing basics, yoga and dance to create an empowering practice.
Trap Flow Bow Backbend
Tuesday | STRENGTH Explore backbend variations that open the heart and mobilize the spine in this juicy practice.
Trap Flow Balance
Wednesday | HIPS Balancing on 1 leg isn't easy but helps us cultivate external balance in order to establish it internally. Get ready to focus and flow.
